Overview of services
Navigating life as the parent of a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) can often feel overwhelming. My role is to ease that burden by providing clear, informed, and compassionate support tailored to your family’s needs.
I have extensive experience working with children with a wide range of medical and developmental conditions, including Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Sensory Impairments. I also work closely with families of children who are awaiting assessment, are in the process of diagnosis, or do not yet have a formal diagnosis.
With a strong understanding of the education system, I can provide guidance and advocacy at every stage of your child’s educational journey. In addition to the services outlined below, I am also able to offer bespoke support, ensuring that the assistance you receive is precisely matched to your child’s individual needs.
Please contact me to arrange a free initial 20-minute telephone consultation if you need support with any aspect of Special Educational Needs. I can also provide a free initial video call if you would prefer.
The packages of support I offer are:
Home visit and written report with recommendations - Advice package 1

If you have concerns about your child’s development or Special Educational Needs (SEND), this package may provide the support you are looking for.
I will arrange a home visit at a mutually convenient time to gain a clear understanding of your child and any concerns you may have. During the visit, I will observe your child as they play, communicate, and interact with you and other family members.
Following the visit, you will receive a comprehensive written report detailing my observations along with practical recommendations and strategies to support both your child and your family.
Please note, my role is not to provide a medical diagnosis. Instead, I focus on offering practical, evidence-based approaches to help your child thrive. Where appropriate, I may also recommend consultation with other professionals or signpost you to specialist services and charitable organisations.
To support busy families, I offer flexible appointment times, including evenings and weekends.
Home and setting visits and written report with recommendations - Advice package 2

If your child attends a school or early years setting (such as a nursery or childminder), it is important that any recommendations put in place are implemented similarly in both places. Some children display similar difficulties at home and in setting, but many children who attend settings behave differently at home than they do elsewhere. If you are puzzled by this, I may be able to help you. This package of support includes all the elements of Advice Package 1, plus an additional visit to your child's early years setting and discussions with their key worker. The written report will include recommendations for implementation both at home and in the early years setting to ensure consistency and support your child's development.
Review of previous recommendations and updated report (home) – Monitoring package 1
Only available to families who have previously purchased Advice Packages 1 or 2. This will involve a home visit to discuss how my recommendations have supported your child, discuss any difficulties they may still have and provide further strategies to support.
Review of previous recommendations and updated report (home and setting) – Monitoring package 2

Only available to families who have previously purchased Advice Package 2. This will involve home and setting visits to discuss how my recommendations have supported your child, discuss any difficulties they may still have and provide further strategies to implement.
Virtual Review of Advice - 1 hour virtual call plus updated report
This gives you the option to review the advice previously given, discuss what is working well and discuss areas of need. You will be provided with updates to the recommendations initially given to you.
Virtual reviews of advice can also be arranged with home and settings (either together or separately). Please note each virtual meeting will be charged separately.
General SEND advice
Are you worried about your child’s special education needs but feel like you’re hitting your head against a brick wall? Are you not sure where to turn for advice or what processes are in place to support you and your family? I can support you with an extended video call to discuss your options and make a plan of action for your child. This service is available for pupils in early years, primary and secondary schools. Support I have offered so far includes, but is not limited to:-
EHCP mediation or tribunal support
The EHCP process can be very difficult to navigate and extremely stressful for families and I can support you with advice around taking your case to mediation or tribunal.
EOTAS coordination

For some students with an Education Other Than at School (EOTAS) package, a coordinator is appointed to oversee provision. This role involves facilitating support, coordinating multi-professional meetings, and leading annual reviews to ensure the child’s needs are fully met.
I am able to work with you in this capacity, providing independent and experienced co-ordination to make sure your child receives high-quality, consistent support from all professionals involved in their education. This is usually a virtual role.
